Library Service Review
North Somerset Council is consulting staff and the community about the future delivery of its library service.
The council has to make saving of £47.3m over the next three years. As part of these savings the library service has to save £370,000 in the next three. The library service has conducted a review of its current service and has made some proposals as to its future delivery.
As part of the review, the council would like to receive feedback on the proposals from members of the public. Comment forms are available at all libraries. Alternatively feedback can be made online at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/library review2012 or emailed to libaryreview2012@n-somerset.gov.uk.
It is being proposed that The Campus library opens from 9.30am until 8pm during the week, from 9.30am until 5pm on Saturdays and from 10am until 5pm on Sundays.
Library staff have been kept informed about the proposals and have been provided with consultation documents. Meetings with unions have already taken place and will continue to do so while the consultation take place.
For more information about the review please visit the council’s website. The survey closes at 1pm on March 9 2012.
I just wanted to say what an excellent venue (the Campus) is. I really enjoy going. It is very friendly and welcoming. Thank you.
